About Me:

Walt graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University in 2006, earning a BS degree in Marketing and a minor in Finance. In December of 2007, Walt completed his Master of Business Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University.

Walt’s past experience has proven him to be a strong leader, with a positive attitude, and great people skills. Past positions where he held a major leadership role include: Vice President of Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society at Clemson University; Young Life leader, a volunteer ministry; and manager of Oakleigh Pools Inc. Walt also served as the Vice President of his high school senior class and was named The Atlanta Journal Constitution “Student of the Year” for the year 2002.

He is also well traveled, studying in and visiting Italy, Switzerland, France, Tanzania, and Kenya. At the age of 17 Walt ascended Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world.

Currently, Walt is pursuing his goal of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. A 2,100 mile, five month, Maine to Georgia adventure. Please click on the Appalachian Trail Tab on the left for more information. 

After the Appalachian Trail, Walt plans to pursue a career that highlights his interests and passions. This includes potentially working for a major corporation in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Investment Banking, or Consulting. Walt has additional interests in the field of Real Estate and Development.
Hobbies and Interests

 
My hobbies and interests include but are not limited to Running, Golf, Frisbee, Camping, Hiking/ Backpacking, Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Spelunking, Young Life (Volunteer Ministry), Reading.
